A
small group of friends decided to fight an election without any infrastructure
and brought home 60,000 votes within a few weeks. This tells us that the people
who have been winning elections all these years and plundering this country are
not giants but men of straw. They can be beaten if honest voters unite behind a
good candidate. Your vote in 2004 has not been wasted.

will give to you an honest system in Pune. No more harassment from politicians
and officials. We will bring funds for the development of this city (from the
center and the private sector) and you will control the citizens’ budget. Party
politicians cannot fight for Pune. Only an Independent MP can. What have
political parties given you? Just bad roads, a semi-functioning stuffy airport,
poor drainage, slums, raw sewage, a dirty river and corporation hospitals that
we would never visit. These gifts will push business out of Pune. If
